Food is kinda art...I think

I cooked for my family on father's day. This is chicken in tomato sauce with linguine.

Sweet Potato soup. Also part of the father's day meal. I made the vegetable stock myself =) so everything is fresh and healthy!

Honey Glazed Meatloaf (kinda fell apart so it's more pieces than a loaf lol) Some spinach and carrots with honey dijon mustard on the side.

Braised Chicken Asian-style (eat with rice)

Well here's what I've been doing whilst not drawing. I pretty much spent a few weeks cooking and taking random pictures of random things. I reread my last couple of posts, and I'm frustrated by how wishy washy I sound on this blog. I guess it's a bit unprofessional of me to appear so unfocused. I know I complain a lot about having "slumps" in drawing, but in reality...I really like doing it, and I want to improve just as much as anyone else. I still don't know if I can commit, but I think through exploring other hobbies, I am starting to miss drawing again. So that's a good sign.

HOLY CRAP! They all look so pro. Me and Keane are both super impressed. I personally thought they were photos off a website or something, took me a sec to believe you made that.

Keane says he thinks your plating is very well done.

wowww now i'm hungry!! lol

those food looks good!
I eat way too fast to appreciate whatever I end up cooking...not that I cook anything besides boil some egg or noodles....

but yeah I complain more than you do, lol, well it's not really complaining. It's more like self assessments every now and then and when you feel like saying something it's good to let it out. It's like getting rid of all the negativity? lol if that makes sense..well to me anyways..haha

it also helps when you draw with people , like your friends, do some jams, friendly competitions, it's more fun that way.

anyways goodluck and also be positive!

storyteller - lol thanks! I'm really flattered. keane and I talked about it too. We should definitely all cook together for fun. =) I'm looking forward to making banana bread this thurs.

el - thanks ed! =D it's good to hear from you. Well you're doing great work that is art-related, so it's hard to make time. But I'm sure you'll come up with some masterpiece dishes if you ever find the time!

ray - hey! LOL no more noodles! it's so bad for you. yeah I know what you mean. I used to be like that too but I've decided to try and appreciate and enjoy what I eat. It's the summer and I'm not going to be able to do this once school starts. I think we're both in the same boat, struggling with doubts while trying to improve. I think I'll draw more with dan and phil and them, hopefully get more into it that way. I'm sure we'll all find a way. thanks for the comment! =D

miki - hiiiiii! thank you! XD it's wonderful to hear from you!
