Prince Zuko

If his hair keeps growing.

I've shy-ed away from the American TV show/ "anime" Avatar for a while now, but the lack of good Japanese anime recently, combined with my classmate's generosity in giving me all the aired episodes, have driven me to give it a peek. And of course I was hooked. I'm far too easily amused after all. I can't say much about it that hasn't been said before, but the show's very solid, especially one aimed towards a younger audience. Everything about it screams high-end production. If I had to pick a flaw it would be some of the abrupt and almost two-dimensional plot points and predictability that occur along the way, but it's mostly overshadowed by the well developed characters. I don't know, maybe I'm just impressed because I had no idea what to expect, and therefore it exceeded whatever expectations I vaguely had.

And Prince Zuko is hot. I feel like a teenage girl all over again. Actually Zuko as a character appeal to me even more than most I've come across, I find him quite realistic: not stubbornly angsty, not easily converted to the "good side" yet not quite a bad guy either. A little emo, yes, but he's 16. *shrugs* Anyway good job writers of Avatar! Other characters I really enjoy watching as well, and they all have their distinct personalities and humor.

Off to sleep now. School-related sketches may be posted tomorrow. And hopefully I'll catch up on Avatar Season 3 this week. After I finish my work *coughs* of course.
